Note about Pre-orders: Perennial plants pre-ordered for Spring are normally available in mid-May. We do not recommend planting perennial plants before then due to the chance of frost, which could easily damage new (and tender) plant growth.
Once your order has been placed, we will contact you within 48 hours to schedule your pick up. Please do not show up unannounced as this will lengthen the time it takes to prepare your order. If you have any questions prior to pickup, please don't hesitate to contact us via phone or email.
Upon arrival, follow directional signage to the customer pickup zone. Our staff will assist you with reviewing the order and loading into your vehicle. If you are not satisfied with your product, please let our staff know and we will replace it with another. This must done during pickup as we do not accept returns once the plants have left our nursery.
Plants are happiest once they are in the ground where they belong. We highly recommend installing plants soon after purchase. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions.
First and foremost, we want your plants to grow and thrive for many years to come! As such, we continuously inspect and care for our nursery stock throughout the growing season to ensure we only send out happy, healthy plants that are ready for installation. Due to numerous circumstances outside our control, perennial plants, shrubs and trees are non-returnable once they leave the nursery. If you notice any issues at the time of pickup, please let us know so we can address your concerns before leaving the nursery.

Just a stone's throw from our nursery, LC Nature Park is home to more than 200 acres of native Indiana landscape, where herds of bison and elk graze the restored grasslands, wildflowers burst into bloom, and all can experience the magic of nature.

Did you know Sanctuary Native Nursery is located next to Arrowhead Prairie and Arrowhead Marsh Preserves? Open from dawn to dusk, Arrowhead features more than 4 miles of hiking trails through restored prairie and wetland habitat.
Arrowhead is part of Little River Wetlands Project's network of preserves featuring more than 1,300 acres of preserved wetlands in the Little River watershed.
Sanctuary Native Landscapes began in 2019 as an alternative to traditional landscaping. Designing specifically with plants native to Indiana and the Midwest, our mission is to nurture nature through the thoughtful design, installation, and management of spaces supporting local ecosystem services and our native natural environment.
Additionally, Sanctuary also supports individuals and businesses looking to restore native woodland and prairie habitat along with the management of invasive species.
Opening in 2025, Sanctuary Native Nursery supplies premium native perennials in pint and gallon sizes to support customers looking for mature plants at installation.
Additionally, Sanctuary Native Nursery supplies premium hard-to-find native trees in smaller 7 and 15 gallon sizes to support customers looking for budget-friendly trees as opposed to the larger, more expensive, balled & burlapped (B&B) ones found in most nursery settings.

In 2023, Sanctuary moved to a six acre farm near Roanoke, Indiana. In addition to housing the landscape and nursery divisions of the company, Sanctuary is actively developing the Sanctuary Land Lab. The Land Lab will include two acres of native display gardens and two acres of restored habitat for future educational programming including workshops and university research.
